Of one who acts without a firm plan,

Is like a pond without a shore.

Though there is water in plenty, 

It flows away,

Rendering that life worthless.

Without favoritism

And it will become the duty that God performs

Towards all His creations.

Act without expecting a reward

And you will receive the rewards of God.

I watched my dog once

 chasing his tail

in a circle

He was very 

earnest.

Even if I had told him

it was a 

mistake

He wouldn’t have stopped.

Around and around I go

My tail changes

colour and form.

One minute it’s a book,

the next a woman,

then a gem.

If I give my dog 

something tasty

he might stop.

What prize

would make me stop running

and bring me home?
