I have a copper pot.

It’s pretty when it’s clean
But often I neglect it
Doing other things.

Then, I see its state and
Set about to polish it.
In a short time
It is gleaming.

A pot shows its
beauty
Shows its
True color;
A gold red
Luster.

We are like this.
Unless we polish
Everyday,
We become
tarnished,neglected.

But, gold needs no effort
to enhance
Its beauty.
It shows its value
In an instant.

It is said that in ancient times
The alchemist could
change copper
to gold.
