Some rivers
Rush directly
To the sea.
Others meander
Through the countryside;
Taking their time
As they wander.
The first is good
For a fast
Journey.
But more and more
I like
The scenery.
Anyway,my old engine
Won’t push me
any faster.
Hopefully,it will
Take me
All the way.
God,you
Created this
Old stream.
Please
Guide it
To the sea.
The wise traveler
Begins his trip
With many bags,
And ends with none
Control the horse and guide it
If you guide it
the horse of the breath* will obey you.
then you can reach the place
In which the Almighty One dwells.
The Dhikr is the essential spiritual exercise in which the in breath consists of :
“Nothing exists but You,Oh God” as the out breath.
And,”Only You exist,Oh God,as the in breath.
Standing on the plain, the wise man
pointed to the left.
As far as the eye could see.
were pastures,rivers,and meadows.
Then he turned to the right.
And looked up.
A steep mountain climbed
into the clouds,and a narrow
winding path disappeared
Above.
On the left is Hell,he said
And the path on the right
Leads to Heaven.
The meadows are pleasant;
the fruit is tasty.
But above,the wind howls
And our hands are chilled.
Better hurry
The sage is already climbing.
