Most of us believe that, and even the skeptics acknowledge that it probably exists. All of history ,all spiritual traditions,all the wise beings we respect,love and admire have told us this over the milleniums,and have lived their lives accordingly.

     On the left side we have the body – the 5 elements (earth,fire,water,air,and ether).And out of these arise mind and desire.Everything in the physical world relates to these elements and we struggle to keep them in balance and to take from them what give us sustenance and  pleasure.

    The ego,which belongs to the left side, dictates,consciously or unconsciously, our behaviour.Yet even with both sections operating, one factor always emerges as the essence of our lives – Peace. With it we need nothing and without it we may have everything the left side offers but we will still lack peace and hence be unhappy . 

   Back to the beginning – the soul is made up of the qualities of God -patience,tolerance,forgiveness,compassion,wisdom,understanding, faith,certitude,determination,love,forbearance,peacefulness,justice,truthfulness,generosity,fair play,love for all beings,duty,conscience,and unity. 

    When we act with these ,we have peace – our lives have fulfillment and we are then in the state ,we are able to bring peace to others. . Goodness brings peace. It is simple but it is true and it is a wonder,this soul,this life,this kingdom of God ; right here and now.

      ”In order to do this,in order for each of you to do this,you must have these actions.I am begging you.I am humbly begging each child; please have the qualities of God on the path of justice. Please act with patience,inner patience,sabur; Nurture unity among yourselves,and bring peace and tranquilty to each other.Establish the qualities of justice.

       We are one family,with one mother and one father.There is only one God.In this state we exist as the funny family, justice must be evident. Peace must be reached.We must act with the qualities that rule the kingdom of God. We must walk on the path of justice.”

The Basic Practice

One spiritual practice is often associated with others. Listening involves attention, being present, and hospitality, and it is a component of devotion, nurturing, and wonder.

Listening is our bridge to the wisdom of sacred texts and spiritual teachers. It is an essential part of the discernment process whereby we identify God’s messages for us. Listening enables us to tune in to others and our inner voices of intuition and conscience. It is how we know we are part of the natural, technological, and media worlds all around us.

But it takes practice to be a really good listener. Start by listening like a baby does upon encountering a sound for the first time. Then listen like a child, noticing music, rhythm, and the variety of noises. Next, tune in to the messages coming to you from all directions and multiple levels of experience. And remember the advice of Native American seers: speak only half as much as you listen.l

Think  of all the prickly,coarse leaves he /she would have had to go through to reach that tender,succulent ,delicious center. It’s like that with people, I find. But sometimes instead of focussing on the prickly leaves if we concentrate on the center,(the goodness) of each person we discover that often the leaves part and we can see straight through to the sweet heart inside. It may not happen immediately but if we persist with compassion it will shine through and we can then taste the beauty of that soul.The important thing is: don’t give up and don’t expect; it will come in its own time and meanwhile we will, by our intent and perseverance, be tasting our own center.

The heart of a woman is  similar to a flower.It can very quickly develop a beautiful,loving fragrance.If we carefully pick it and carefully take in the fragrance, it will give us the perfume. But if we pluck it impatiently and crush it in our hands, it will give us the smell of a crushed flower. It will not give us the original fragrance. You must not crush the heart of the woman in your life. You must not crush it or squeeze it.We must touch it with care, pick it with care, and smell the fragrance with care. It is only then that it will benefit you. The heart of a woman is very delicate and tender.
